Perfect weather and area: The kitchen and living room area is a great space! The theater room is so cool. We stayed in master. Great bed and fan. Roomy. Super closet. The AC is a good one and we used some even though the weather was perfect. Hadn't seen that type of coffee pot and it was very useful. Used rooftop grill and outdoor kitchen and worked great .

Everything was awesome!: We loved this home. Very large and lots of sleeping. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house was exceptionally clean. Master bed was super comfortable. Quick walk down the block to a big beautiful part of the beach. Close enough to walk and be in the middle of the action in Venice but far enough to feel secluded, safe and in a quiet area. Would def stay here again. The owner was excellent to work with. Prompt and efficient with everything! Thank you!!!

Great House: I stayed here for my 50th birthday with a few of my friends. This house was wonderful. it's very spacious. The beach was so close. we walked to the beach. I enjoyed the house.

Fantastic location, wonderful rooftop deck!: Had a great stay here, the owner was really friendly and helpful and met me upon arrival to take me through the house. Being a block from the beach was excellent and I spent a good deal of time on the roof patio, super relaxing. Also, it was within a few minutes drive from Abbot Kinney for shopping. Highly recommend.

Perfect family reunion: Jon was super responsive...when there was a problem with the garbage disposal he had a plumber there within the hour. Great host. Wonderful view of the fireworks from the roof where we gathered in the hot tub...and the long wooden table in the living area accommodated 15 people. Perfect place for our family reunion.

What a beach house!: We rented Jon's beach house for a week for our annual family vacation - 6 adults and 4 kids ranging from 7 mo to 3 yrs. Though there are lots of stairs, they are all comfortably carpeted, as were almost all of the floors. The great room and loft had beautiful buttery soft leather couches and chairs - so easy to fall asleep or relax on. The long wood dining table was nice, as were the bar stools against the granite kitchen counter. Seating in the loft was plentiful. I especially liked the coffee table, which had chairs beneath that pulled out for extra seating. We were all able to fit comfortably in the loft to watch TV together as a family. Overall decor was very pleasing to the eye and thoughtfully planned. The beds were comfy, sheets soft and towels plush. Plenty of soft, medium and firm pillows too! It is obvious that Jon takes pride in his beach house. We loved the rooftop deck. There is plenty of varied seating. The fire pit, private hot tub and big screen TV were a real plus. Jon stopped by to meet us on check-in day to make sure we were happy with the accommodations, which I found to be a nice, personal touch. As during our booking, he was quick to respond to emails and calls during our stay. The beach is only a block away and there are lifeguards stations. We were able to walk to the town as well as to Venice Muscle Beach. The drive to Santa Monica was quick and scenic. The tandem garage was a decent size, though we opted to park only one van inside and the other on the street. Luckily, street parking actually wasn't that hard to find. We had a fabulous vacation week at this spacious, comfortable and well kept beach house. Thank you, Jon!

Fantastic boys trip: 14 of us congregated from right across Canada to participate in a four night bachelor party. We couldn't have been more happy with our choice. The beach right outside our door combined with restaurants, pubs, a short walk to the hilarity of Venice Beach... it was all great. We enjoyed the rooftop patio / hot tub in the evenings a great deal. Our host met us shortly after check-in and was able to answer our questions and address any needs we had. Our damage deposit was promptly returned in full. Thank you for an awesome stay!

5 STAR Weekend Getaway, steps to the beach!: Just had an incredible vacation steps from the beach in the Venice/Santa Monica area! Jon has fantastic home, and to top it all off, it comes fully equipped with all the important essentials. It even has plenty of supplies for the beach, including volleyballs, beach chairs , boogie boards, umbrella and a box of beach toys for the kids ! The house is very spacious and plenty of rooms to sleep in! The neighborhood was very calm and quite, during our stay. The deck was also a real treat with natural gas BBQ granite kitchen that can cook it all. Over all my family and I had a blast, definitely a vacation to remember! We will definitely rent from Jon again!

Terrific Mid-World meeting house by the beach: This was an ideal house for two families, one from Australia, one from London, to gather mid-world, for 3 birthday celebrations. We made full use of the rooftop facilities - Premier League soccer early mornings and hot-tub and the fire pit at night. The 9 of us filled every room, the huge dining table coped with all the evening meals and banter. A great location for walks, bike rides and plenty of Ubering across the city. Instant email responses sorted any questions. Thanks Jon.

Perfect for large groups: I rented this Villa for our family vacation. Their was eight of us. Five adults and three teens. We had lots of room to spread out and have private space when needed. The rooftop deck is an awesome gathering space to sit and unwind after a day of site seeing or a busy day at the beach( which is very close walking distance ) The garage is big enough for two cars. We rented a full size sedan and a mini van and they both fit. Jon meet us at the Villa when we arrived to walk us through and answer any questions we might have. I highly recommend this Villa. Jon is very easy to work with and quickly returned my deposit.

Great house, great time: Very spacious house with a fantastic rooftop. Our family had a great time there and Jon was excellent. Property was very clean and in a great location. We walked to the restaurants and the beach.

Could not have been better!: Why this space is ideal: 2 min walk to beach, gorgeous walking options every direction, extremely close to neighborhood canals (beautiful), the fun of Venice boardwalk minutes away; biking, walking, people watching, shopping, eating & local artists. The house is 5 stories of amazing - 1st floor: master like bedroom w/bathroom & two car garage, 2nd floor large, has everything you need kitchen. Dining area that seats 12, living area that comfortably seats 6+ and a full bathroom. 3rd floor living room w/large TV loft w/comfortable seating. 4th floor: master bedroom; large bathroom, large deep tub, shower & king bed. The bed: never slept on anything more comfortable (will be asking the owner for the name). Another bedroom that sleeps 3 and a full bathroom (this bed equally comfortable to the master per my friend). 5th floor roof top perfection; great view, can easily seat 16, Jacuzzi, grill. Perfect place to begin and end your day as we did each day. The garage has; beach chairs, 4 body boards (boogie boards) and beach items for children. Kitchen has everything you need to cook a large meal in regards to utensils, pots & pans etc. They also have a selection of items such as oil, seasonings etc. Jon the owner is also friendly, timely and accommodating - very nice to work with. Our time spent here was perfect. The house & location were a huge part of that.

Perfect !!!: Our family reunion was made extra special because of this beautiful villa. So much space along with every amenity you could want. So close to the beach and the rooftop deck makes for great relaxing, especially while watching the big screen (even though the Cavaliers lost). Also easy to get to the LAX.

Gorgeous Home!: The owner of the property was great. He met us showed us everything. The property was beautiful just 50 steps from the beach. It’s like a Rapunzel house. Four levels gorgeous roof patio with barbecue fire pit you can oversee the city and the beach. It’s gorgeous I highly recommend it.

Excellent host and beautiful house for groups: We had a great stay at the "Italian Beach Villa". Jon was easy to easy to work with and his instructions for the house were simple and straightforward. We had a large group and the house was perfect for us. There was plenty of street parking and the location was excellent. We plan on staying in Jon's house again in the future.
